What will bring comfort to many, will leave others filled with dread. For the Christian, Christ’s return will be thrilling, because it will bring about incredibly wonderful changes. But for the non-Christian, it will be a time of dread and despair. As the apostle says: “sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” (1 Thess. 5:3). In this study, our focus will be on the effects of our Redeemer’s return for the world.

Truman, an innkeeper, refused to leave his home despite an evacuation order and repeated warnings that came via reoccurring earthquakes. He acknowledged it was ‘possible’ the mountain might ‘blow’ someday, but he never reached the place where he was wiling ‘to pack up his bags' and leave his home.
