1914-2014: The First World War And
The Beginning Of The End Times
by Tony Pearce
100 years ago in August 1914 World War One began. Germany declared was on Russia and invaded Belgium on 1st August. Onimously this was the day of the Jewish fast of Av (Tisha b'av, the 9th of Av), the day that commemorates the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem, a day associated with calamity and disaster in the Jewish calendar. Britain declared war on 4th August 1914 and so World War One began. ...In the days before His return the Lord Jesus said 'For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the begining of birth pains (travail).' Matthew 24:8.
