Prophetic Witness - February 2016The Six Abodes Of Satan

by Dr Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum

The third and present abode of Satan is mentioned in Ephesians 2:2 and 6:12.
Ephesians 2:2 states: "wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience.”

Ephesians 6:12 states: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

In Ephesians 2, Satan is the prince of the powers of the air. In Ephesians 6, he is in the heavenly places. Thus, Satan's third and present abode can be described as the atmospheric heavens. He lives in the air or the atmosphere.
While the atmospheric heavens function as Satan’s third and present abode, he does indeed have permission of access into two other localities. First, he has permission of access into Heaven and often uses it. To this day, whenever he so desires, he can still go into Heaven and stand before the very presence of God (Job 1:6; 2:1). Whenever Satan uses his permission of access to enter into Heaven, he does so, for only one reason: to be the accuser of the brethren; not only against Job, but also an accuser against Israel (Zech. 3:1), and against believers today (Rev. 12:10). Whenever a believer falls into a state at unconfessed sin, sooner or later Satan will stand before the Throne of God the Father to accuse that believer. That is why believers still need the ministry of Yeshua as their Advocate. Whenever Satan has any grounds of accusing them, Yeshua can say, "Lay that sin upon My account. I have already paid for that sin when I died for that person on the cross.” In this way, Yeshua is still ministering as our Advocate. On the other hand, believers have a responsibility to be careful not to give grounds for Satan to accuse us before God’s Throne.

Prophetic Witness - December 2015When God Became A Man

by Dr Alec Passmore

An uplifting meditation from Philippians chapter two.

Most of our unthinking secular world will miss (again) the transcendent wonder and mystery of all time — THE INCARNATION OF THE SON OF GOD. The inspired Apostle Paul wrote "Great is the mystery of Godliness, God was manifest in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16). Again, in his letter to the Philippians he states his life’s goal and purpose “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings being made conformable unto His death” (ch 3:10). To know Jesus Christ personally is infinitely higher knowledge than mere "religion". It is a divine revelation.

Prophetic Witness - November 2015Don't take your eyes off IRAN

by Jon Ikin.

Jeremiah 49:34-39.

A significant but overlooked prophecy about Iran comes in the 49th chapter of Jeremiah. It is basically a bad news prophecy for Elam (Iran), which makes it a good news prophecy for Israel in the last days Being found at the close of several chapters dealing with Gentile nations who are going to be attacked by Babylon, this final message is different from the rest. For a start it has a date, which none of the others have Verse 34 says: "The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah...” This was 596 BC, about a decade before the fall of Jerusalem.

By recording this prophecy’s date Jeremiah may be saying that it came at a different time to the others. But a more significant issue regards its fulfilment. “Of Elam nothing can be said with any certainty,” wrote George Campbell—Morgan, and similar sentiments are echoed by other commentators. Although some make brave and complicated attempts to find a fulfilment, none of them are very convincing. The case for future fulfilment is a good one — especially since v39 talks about, "the latter days”. In fact some prophecy teachers suggest that we could even be looking here at, "an imminent event.” If so, we need an urgent understanding of what the Lord says He will do to Iran, according to this revelation. There are no less than four astonishing things revealed here.

Prophetic Witness - October 2015The Message of Hosea's Marriage

by Dr Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum

This Messianic Bible Study is a study of the first three chapters of the Book of Hosea, These chapters deal with Hosea’s marital problems and their application as a prophetic message to the people of lsrael.

God sometimes asked His prophets to do very strange things in order to get the attention of the people of Israel so that they could learn something: Isaiah, for example, was asked to walk naked for three years. Ezekiel was asked to lay on one side for so many days and then on his other side for so many days. These were actual, literal actions that the prophets were asked to do, but, at the same time, they were symbolic actions containing a message God was trying to get across to His people Israel. The same thing was true of Hosea, his marriage, and his family. These were literal events that actually happened in the life of Hosea the Prophet while, at the some time, they were symbolic messages to the people of Israel. The history of the relationship between Hosea and his wife is similar to the relationship between Jehovah, the husband, and Israel, the Wife of Jehovah. As the message of Hosea’s marriage is studied, exactly what God was trying to relate to the people of Israel will be brought out.

Prophetic Witness - September 2015After The Rapture

by Jon Ikin
The rapture will be a crisis not a process. It will happen, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet..." (1 Cor. 15:52). And what a moment it will be! The Great Church Snatcher Himself will come and take His people home, making a detour around death to get to heaven. "And thus we shall be forever with the Lord," (1 Thess. 4:17) - Hallelujah!
For those who know the Saviour, this is an uplifting hope in every sense of the phrase. But what will it be like for those who are left behind?

Prophetic Witness - August 2015"Islamist Operatives" in the Obama Administration

Muslim Brotherhood Members hold high positions in the Obama Administration according to well-known Egyptian magazine Rose EI-Youssef. The magazine points a finger at six American Islamist officials, reporting they enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy.

Two years ago, Republican congress woman Michelle Bachman and four other GOP members of the House sent letters to the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State asking for an investigation of the influence played by the Muslim Brotherhood on U.S. government officials in the Obama administration. The request forwarded to the Deputy Inspector General of the Department of State was shot down.

Prophetic Witness - July 2015The Path of Righteousness

by Pastor Andrew Robinson
"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! Bt his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree firmly planted by the streams of water ...And in whatever he does, he prospers" (Psalm 1:1-3).
Blessing In Obedience
Psalm one paints a cut and dried picture in which the righteous prosper and the wicked perish, their respective attitudes to God’s law (Torah) determining their linal condition. The Psalm provides the reader with the familiar choice of two paths, one that leads to blessing, the other to destruction. The decision is in the hands of the individual. The blessing which opens Psalm one is in the plural and can be rendered, "O, the blessednesses of man" a most extravagant expression of blessing It can also be translated “bliss”, which captures something of the super-abundance of God's spiritual and material provision for those who follow His path. The Hebrew word for “blessed” is esher, which is derived from ashar, meaning to go or walk straight. There is a direct correlation in Scriptural teaching between uprightness and blessing, a principle enshrined in the Law of Moses. It is one of the prerequisites of the Christian life. To give just one example among many, Scripture commands us "to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments  that the LORD your God may bless you." (Deuteronomy 30:16).

Prophetic Witness - June 2013Governments Blown Off Course

Norman Clay

RELIGION: REVERED - RUINED. Continuing our study into end time matters, we noted in our previous article, that the removal of the true church of Jesus Christ from this earth will make a noticeable difference.

The Bible, makes it clear that during the present age in which we live, through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, our Lord is building His church. Despite the difficulties being faced, we can as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, have reason to lift our hearts in praise and worship. What we cannot ignore are the words of the Lord Himself that, alongside the true church, a false church is being built.

Nothing that the believers might wish to do can halt its progress or development. Behind the scene we are told is the hand of the arch enemy of Jesus Christ, the devil himself. He as the archenemy of our Lord will stop at nothing in his attempt to usurp the throne of God, attacking the church for good measure!

Prophetic Witness - June 2015Uncle Sam, Where Are You?

by Pastor Jon Ikin
It is said that Columbus discovered America. A lesser known fact, however, is that he also wrote a volume on eschatology called, “The Book of Prophecies”, published in 1501. How interesting that the man most closely associate with America’s beginnings was also interested in the end times! Yet that very connection, of America and prophecy, is one that puzzles many Bible scholars to this day. Just where is America in prophecy? And what does the Bible say about her future? As prophecy expert Tim La Haye has written, “One of the hardest things for American prophecy students to accept is that the United States is not clearly mentioned in Bible prophecy, yet our nation is the only superpower in the world today." It seems a puzzling mystery.

So why should we care?
This is not a subject which interests everyone, but it should. In fact, it should be of intense interest to all believers around the world, not just Americans. Let me give you four reasons why I believe this is true...
