Lord Jesus Christ, eternal and unchanging
Sovereign in power, glorious in majesty.
The perfect image of the Father's glory,
Begotten Son, we love and worship You.
Alpha, Omega, True and Faithful Witness,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
Eternal God, supreme throughout all ages,
Jesus the same, today, forever Sovereign Lord.
'Twas yesterday You shared Your Father's glory,
Adored by angels seated round the throne.
Created all things by Your word of power.
Born of a virgin, God and yet still man.
Died on the cross to purchase free salvation,
And rose in triumph over death and hell,
Ascended to the right hand of the Father.
Jesus the same today, forever, Sovereign Lord.
And now today You sit enthroned in glory,
Resplendent at Your Father's own right hand.
No longer poor, despised, rejected, lonely,
Victorious Lord, I love and worship You.
You pour Your Spirit out upon the thirsty,
You intercede for those You call Your own,
My heavenly mansion You are now preparing,
Jesus the same today, forever, Sovereign Lord.
Forever You shall reign o’er all the nations,
As King of kings and Lord of lords.
For every knee shall bow in adoration,
And every tongue confess that You are Lord.
When every sword shall be turned to a plowshare,
And lion shall lie down in peace with lamb,
No sorrow, pain; no death, no tears, no parting.
