As I write to you things seem to be developing apace in Gaza and the Palestinian Territories. We wonder where it will all lead and what significance it will have for God's people Israel. More importantly, what significance it might have for the near return of our Lord for His church. Let us keep our eye on the Middle East. In this issue you will read about Tony Pearce and the opposition which he recently led to an anti-Israel demo in London. These are the days of heightened opposition to God and God's people. Pray for Tony and his courageous stand on these issues. You will also read about our very blessed convention in Bournemouth a few weeks ago. As this is our 90th Anniversary year we have organised another convention for September in Southport. Our president, Rev Keith Skelton and team ministry member Mr Brian Gemmell will be among the speakers. Why not plan to join us - see the separate advert in this issue. Recently I had the honour of being invited to become one of two U.K. patrons of Magen David Adom. This is Israel's equivalent of our Red Cross and they are responsible for all ambulance services in Israel. Recently they have been particularly stretched with Sderot on the Gaza border coming under repeated attacks. The U.K. branch is working hard to gather support for this needy work. Finally, this month we are at Keswick once again for the official Keswick week from 14th - 20th.
