Powerpoint - April 2007
"Redeeming the time for the days are evil" (Ephesians
5v16).
Getting On With It
I think it was Winston Churchill, our great wartime prime
minister who said, 'Give us the tools and we'll do the job'.
Recently I received a phone call from a dedicated,
faithful supporter of our work. She was lamenting the fact that the
message of the Lord's return is so rarely proclaimed in most churches
today. She asked me if we could send a 'wake up' letter to all the
clergyman and ministers in the country. I explained that this would be a
mammoth task and would require great resources. By the end of our
conversation she promised to send us a cheque for £1000 (It was on my
desk next morning) enabling us to send out 3000 letters, each accompanied
with a copy of our magazine.
It won't cover all the clergy in the land but it's a
start. This is a unique opportunity which we have risen to and we are
grateful for the dedication and vision of this supporter who has made the
venture possible. pray with us that these letters will be read and have
positive effect.
Our Timeless Truth verse (opposite) is not new. These
words are indeed familiar, but yet, never more important than today. This
verse urges us to do two things:
1. Redeem the time &
2. Recognize the days in which we live. I'm glad to say
that we at PWMI, and particularly within our council, have a determination
to fulfill this injunction.
As you read our 'What's On' column for this month you will
see that our Ashbourne branch, in Derbyshire, are holding a four day
outreach, holding meetings in new venues. Dr Alec Passmore and Rev Ken
Humphries will be speaking - pray God's blessing on this event.
At the time of writing, our chairman Mr. David Hoyle, is
on the brink of his second visit to the Philippines. The previous visit
saw souls saved and much blessing. this visit has the potential for even
greater blessing.
As for as recognizing the days in which we live is
concerned, no one can doubt that the world is getting increasingly evil.
Recently I received a letter from one of our supporters
whose church has been under attack. The beautiful stained glass windows
had been smashed and 666 had been written on the door. It is not known
whether this is just teenage devilment or if more sinister forces were
involved. Either way it is symptomatic of the times in which we live.
Over the years PWMI, along with others, has been in the
forefront of the battle for truth. We invite you to stand with us in
prayer and support as we continue to 'redeem the time'.
May the Lord bless you too in your own situations.
God bless,
Colin Le Noury
