(Jer. 31 v35-37)The scripture tells us, “knowing this first that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after there own lusts.” Are we to believe that these scoffers are from outside of the church? NO! There have always been those that have mocked the Christian faith, and there always will be. But these prophesied scoffers of the last days are different, they attack the true Christian faith from inside, and we find them, not only in today’s liberal churches. I attended a meeting of Evangelical leaders recently, and the subject under discussion was Israel and many where claiming that God had finished with His chosen people. I pointed out to them many biblical passages including Verses such as, Jeremiah 31:35 – 37. Where the word of God makes it abundantly clear that God has not nor never will reject his people. The response was, “well there are many ways to interpret those verses.” To which I replied. “Yes put only if you don’t believe what they say.” Praise God that we can trust and believe what He says. Our God says what He means and means what He says. And one day all of Israel will be Saved, Romans 11:26(a)
