Jesus said: “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” [Matt 24:11-12KJV]. “For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” [Matt 24:24].

The letter to the church at Laodicea warns the members to be aware of two things [Rev 3:1-23]. First is a warning; because of the members lukewarm attitude the Lord would reject them. The second point our Lord wished to make plain was the door of salvation was still open. Jesus was still there willing to forgive their sins and not only enter and guide their church, but enter and indwell any who turned back to a life of faithful trust and belief in Him. In our present time in which we live one of the signs is an ever increasing apathy in the western church of the followers of Christ. Leaders of the Church worldwide are deeply aware of a lack of enthusiasm and commitment by its members. Why at this time in the world’s history, when it appears that the Lord’s return is not far off, should this occur?

The Bible foretells a time in the future, when there will be an apostate world wide church. This will be after the believers are taken in the Rapture and during the time when the Antichrist or Beast, spoken of in Daniel and Revelation will be ruling the world.

This false church is spoken of in the Bible [Rev 13:11-18], [Rev 17:15-16]. This indicates a headquarters in Rome and an amalgamation of all the worlds religions formed into one. This faith will be formed to worship a god who will in turn be the Antichrist - 666. Seven is the perfect number therefore the number for God's Trinity is 777. This apostate church will worship Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet [Rev 16:13], [Rev 19:20], & [Rev 20:10]. Thus the number is 666 being an earth bound trinity.

There is a remarkable similarity between the contents of Chapter 6 of Revelation and the description given by our Lord for the end of the age in Matthew 24. Although this covers the seven years of the Tribulation period [Dan 9:27] after the Church is taken, never the less, we are seeing signs of the pending fulfillment of these Scriptures around us every day, as the world heads towards its inevitable end times happenings.
