It's official! Our movement has now become a nonagenarian. Yes it was ninety years ago this month that Dr F.B. Meyer, together with a host of other spiritual giants of the day, including Campbell Morgan, Dinsdale Young, Stuart Holden, Webb-Peploe and others, set out a manifesto for the proclamation of the Lord's return.

For nine decades that manifesto hasn't changed and it has been pursued with vigour, enthusiasm and hope. Believing as we do in the imminent return of Christ for His church, we have no idea how long it will be, but one thing is certain; this nonagenarian will not lie down. We will pursue our manifesto until He comes.

"... as an oak, whose stump remains when it is cut down, so the holy seed shall be its stump." (Is. 6v13)

We consider our understanding of pre-millennial teaching from God's word to be the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit and very precious to us. Our anticipation of the literal and soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the gathering together and taking away of this true church, His bride is essential to the very fabric of our whole theology. It is also a major ingredient of our gospel message.

"Be patient then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and... spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near." (James 5:7-8)

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first" (2 Thess. 2:3)
