About PWMI

Who Are We?

OUR MOVEMENT

Prophetic Witness Movement International (PWMI) began in 1917 as "The Advent Testimony and Preparation Movement".

The work was founded during World War One, following the miraculous deliverance of Jerusalem, opening the possibility after 2000 years of a national homeland for the Jewish People.

Dr F. B. Meyer, Dr Graham Scroggie and others launched the Movement declaring that they believed the Word of the Lord had begun to be fulfilled in Luke ch.21 v 24 and "The Times of the Gentiles" had begun to come to an end.

Our message is Christ centred and Bible based. We believe in the divine inspiration of "all scripture" and believe that the exposition of "the blessed hope" promotes holy living and evangelism.

Our movement is inter-denominational and evangelical, teaching the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ.

JONAH

The Prophet Who Deserted

by Fredrick A. Tatford

JONAH The Prophet Who Deserted

THE PROPHECY OF JONAH contains one of the best-known narratives in the Old Testament. The book is also full of important practical teaching and richly reveals the grace of God and His patience with His failing human servants.

But the book is more than just a thrilling story of God's intervention in nature or a tale of failure and recovery. The Lord Jesus spoke of 'Jonah the prophet' and this short book prefigures God's dealings with the Nation of Israel. This commentary misses neither the practical teaching nor the prophetic significance of the book.

This new edition makes Tatford's informed and very readable exposition of a neglected portion of Scripture available to a new generation of Bible students.

Fredrick A. Tatford (1901-1986) was a prolific author and an able minister of God's Word, who travelled extensively. He wrote over seventy books, many of them dealing with prophetic subjects.

JONAH The Prophet Who Deserted costs £7.50 + £1.20 p&p

This is one of four books written by Fredrick A. Tatford that have been recently re-published by STL (Scripture Teaching Library), which we have in stock in our bookshop.
