THE ONE THING I MUST DO.
A New Year Message

In his tender pastoral letter to the Philippians (it contains not a word of censure or rebuke) the apostle Paul declares a single-minded resolve to which he also exhorts his readers. Excluding all distractions and forgetting past failures, his readers are to pursue the relentless goal of "pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (3:14). He speaks of "counting all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord"... He also declares his passion to be "FOUND IN HIM" (3v9.) What wholesome and challenging words are these! As we start a brand new year, am I by grace "found in Him"? Is He my life's goal? This is indeed "the one thing I must do" and our solitary aim for the coming year - should Jesus tarry. For this to succeed I must "forget" my past confessed sins and failures - they are under the blood! I must with Godly resolve seek and "win" the Lord's highest and best! There is no higher calling for the believer. In the arresting words of a favourite hymn:

The Year of Evangelism

by Rev Colin Le Noury,
General Director

Nearly 45 years ago, as a young man, I sat in the back row of a Baptist Chapel in a Sunday night meeting listening to an old uneducated preacher who spoke with passion and conviction. His subject that night was The Second Coming of Christ. He was not schooled in prophecy as such but he was well versed in the Scriptures and i listened intently as he went through the Bible from Scripture to Scripture emphasising the soon return of the Lord for His Church.

I was not a believer but I sat rooted to my seat as the Holy Spirit began to convict me of my need of a Saviour. Every Scripture seemed to travel....

The Euro Crisis - 'Engineered'

The crisis facing the Euro “has been engineered” so as to produce closer fiscal and political union. So said Richard Werner, a Professor of International Banking at Southampton University in an interview on BBC Radio Solent  before the Summit in Brussels in on 9th December 2011. Prof. Werner stated that the threatened downgrade by the rating agency Standard and Poor's was deliberately timed and was intended to soften the public up so that they would more readily accept greater financial union.

2012 The Bible and the End of the World

£8.99 + £1.50 p&p - Order here

This months 'Book of the Month' is one we have featured before and sold many of but we felt at the beginning of this year it is worth featuring again.

Doomsday predictions and false prophecies are, of course, not new. Only this past year we saw the false predictions of American evangelist Harold Camping which as we all know came to nought. Thankfully PWMI has never been into the prediction game and has always taken a level headed biblical view on all prophecies.

What In The World - November 2011

One day the disciples asked the Lord Jesus the three questions, which many people, both in and outside the Church, are asking today. Jesus had mentioned the future destruction of the Temple, and naturally His disciples wanted to know when. The second question was; in view of the Lords future departure, when would He be back as He had promised. The third question asked was; what will be the signs of the end of the world. Jesus did not answer the questions quite how they were asked. However it is good sometimes to get back to basics and study in some detail the answers He did give. [Matt 24].
